Construction of Addu City Islamic Center contracted to Fedo Pvt. Ltd.

Fedo Pvt Ltd has been awarded the contract for the construction of an Islamic Center in southernmost Addu City.

The agreement signing ceremony was held at the Secretariat of the Addu City Council on Friday. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Faisal Naseem as a chief guest and Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Zahir.

The two-story building includes a prayer section that can accommodate 1,500 worshippers, a 450-seat multi-purpose hall, four classrooms, two seminar rooms, an administrative office, an Islamic library, and a pantry.

The Islamic Center's construction was awarded to Fedo Pvt. Ltd. to be completed within 450 days.

Before the signing ceremony, the Vice President visited the land plot designated for the project. He also inaugurated a newly-built mosque in the city, Masjid al-Walidain. Built by a generous benefactor, the mosque has been developed to a modern standard, including a minaret and dome. The mosque can accommodate 250 people.
