Quran classes to be held in Male' City mosques

The Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) and the Islamic Ministry will be conducting Quran classes in mosques in the Greater Male' Area this Ramadan.

The program titled 'Halaqa' will be carried out at eleven mosques in Male', Villimale' and Hulhumale'. According to IUM, the classes will be carried out three days a week after Asr prayers. The recitation of the Quran according to Tajwid rules will be taught in the classes, and participants will have the opportunity to read with Qaris, IUM said.

The classes will be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. No fees will be charged for the lessons, and they are open to the public.
