The Maldivian ambassador to Malaysia, Visam Ali, has resigned from the post.
The Foreign Ministry has confirmed her resignation. Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid himself published a tweet on Tuesday, thanking her for her service.
Visam was appointed as the Maldivian Ambassador to Malaysia on March 26, 2019. The reason for her resignation was not disclosed.
Visam is the spouse of former DRP leader Ahmed Thasmeen Ali. The couple resides in Malaysia.
