Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has launched a search operation to locate a man who went missing while diving off Fuvahmulah City.
MNDF Coast Guard Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) received reports of a local man who went diving at the city's Tiger Shark diving point going missing at 3:36 pm. The man is believed to be about 35 years old. The man went in the water at around 2:30 pm and was wearing a black diving suit and shorts, fins, and mask, the Coast Guard said.
MNDF has urged vessels traveling in the area to keep an eye out for the missing man.
