The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is seeking a chief judge for the Family Court.
JSC issued an announcement stating that the opportunity is open for current Family Court judges to apply for the position. Interested candidates have until the 11th of this month to apply for the post. The salary and allowances of the Family Court Chief Judge is MVR 47,375.
The JSC is looking to fill the Chief Judge position after former Chief Justice of the Family Court Huzaifa Mohamed was appointed as a High Court judge on June 27. The Family Court is currently run by Judge Ibrahim Mahir, the court's most senior judge in terms of years of service.
