RTL minibus service launches in Male' City

MTCC's Raajje Transport Link (RTL) minibus service has been launched in Male' City.

The minibusses will operate on three routes in the city-- the Ameenee route, the Sosun route, and the Orchid route. The bus service will be available from 5:45 am to 12:15 pm every day of the week.

The minibus services are organized to cover four neighborhoods of the city. A total of 40 bus stops have been established on the bus routes, and buses will approach each stop every 15 minutes.

Eighteen buses are used to provide bus services in the city, eight of which have ramps and wheelchair access for people with disabilities. There are 20 seats on special needs buses and 22 seats on other buses. In addition, ten people can travel standing.

The minibus service will be free for the first two weeks. After that period, the fare will be MVR 7 per trip. However, children under the age of three, students in uniform, and those over 65 can travel free of charge on the minibus.

Bus QR tickets are available through the RTL website and application. The application can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store.
