Aasandha Company and Villa Air Pvt Ltd have signed an agreement to cooperate in domestic air transport in the Maldives.
Under the agreement, Villa Air will provide assistance and cooperation to Aaasandha through the domestic air transport system for the services required under the Aasandha scheme. Aasandha said the deal would provide additional eases for air transportation of patients in emergencies and will provide more options for residents of islands where Villa Air operates and those of nearby islands.
There are also a number of other options for the residents of the airports where Villa Air flies and the residents of these and nearby areas.
The agreement was signed by the company's Managing Director, Mariyam Shafeeq, on behalf of the company. The agreement was signed on behalf of Villa Air Pvt Ltd by its Managing Director, Abdulla Nashid.
Vila Air’s FlyMe launched domestic operations to local airports on October 1, 2011. Villa Air uses ATR 500-72 aircraft for its flights. The airline currently flies to ADh. Maamigili and B. Dharavandhoo, and previously operated to Addu City and Fuvahmulah City.
