The Ministry of Tourism has called on all tourist service providers to strengthen safety and security measures.
The ministry made the appeal as the peak tourism season is approaching.
The ministry requested tourism establishments to:
- Pay attention to regularly reviewing and implementing the emergency plan for emergency responses.
- General briefing on safety when tourists check-in and a detailed safety briefing on the beach safety before the start of the activity.
- Conduct regular training and awareness programs for employees providing water sports services
The Ministry of Tourism said it wants to ensure a safe and secure environment for all tourists visiting the Maldives and everyone working in the industry.
