An earthquake was felt in different islands of the Maldives early Wednesday.
The Maldives Meteorological Department said it received reports of tremors in some islands of Gaafu Alif atoll early Wednesday. The department said the quake was recorded at 12:11 am local time by the seismometer in GDh. Kaadedhdhoo.
The Met Office said the quake was not expected to cause any threats to the Maldives.
