Maldive Meteorology has stated that they received reports of a tremor in the northernmost atolls of Maldives.
MET office said the seismometer at Hanimaadhoo island had recorded a small, localized tremor at around 0147 am on Thursday morning. However, no danger is expected to the archipelago as a result of the tremor, they said.
