A suspect arrested in connection with the 13 kg of drugs seized in a drug operation has been remanded in custody pending trial.
Six men were arrested in the operation, and their remands have been extended several times since then.
According to the police, the Criminal Court remanded one suspect in custody pending the trial's outcome and extended the remaining five's remand for another 30 days.
The 13.56 kg of drugs were seized during a joint raid by the Counter Narcotics Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Team on November 17. MVR 644,020 in cash was also seized in the operation.
Police are conducting further investigations into the case.
