A police post has been opened in F. Dharanboodhoo.
With the opening of the Dharanboodhoo Police Post, police posts have now been established on all islands of Faafu atoll, becoming the first atoll with police posts on all inhabited islands.
The establishment of police posts on islands is part of the efforts to decentralize and provide police services closer to the people.
Earlier this month, the police launched a neighborhood police service in Thaa atoll for the first time. The neighborhood police service was introduced in Th. Veymandoo on December 9.
