A man who went missing while fishing in GDh. Dhevvadhoo has been found dead.
The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Mohamed Rasheed from Dhevvadhoo island. He was reported missing when there was no news of him after he went to catch bait a mile off Dhevvadhoo.
The residents of Dhevvadhoo island participated in the search for Rasheed along with the Coast Guard. Rasheed's body was found floating in the ocean by a Coast Guard vessel. He was pronounced dead when he was taken to Dhevvadhoo Health Centre.
Police are investigating the death.
