The Finance Ministry is seeking contractors to build housing units in Sh. Komandoo and Gn. Fuvahmulah.
In separate tenders published on Sunday, the Finance Ministry said 30 housing units would be constructed in Komandoo and 400 in Fuvahmulah.
The Fuvahmulah housing project was announced by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih during a visit to the city on March 25, 2022. The President said while the 200 housing units to be built in the city are in the tendering stage, 200 additional flats had been added to the project.
The bid security for the 400 housing unit project in Fuvahmulah is MVR 2.1 million. The bids for the project are scheduled to be opened on February 8.
An announcement seeking contractors for the Komandoo housing project was previously published by the Finance Ministry but was later canceled. The project is now being -re-announced once again.
According to the tender documents, the bid security for the project is MVR 155,000. The bids would open on January 31.
