More than 300,000 tourists have visited the Maldives so far this year.
According to the Tourism Ministry, 301,658 tourists visited the Maldives as of February 20. This is a 27.9 percent increase over the same period last year, during which 235,850 tourists visited the Maldives.
According to statistics, an average of 5,915 tourists arrive daily.
Russia is now the most visited country. The current top ten source markets are:
Russia - 38,538 tourists
India - 33,001 tourists
United Kingdom - 28,307 tourists
Italy - 27,720 tourists
Germany - 19,345 tourists
France - 13,896 tourists
United States - 12,457 tourists
China - 8,756 tourists
Switzerland - 7,240 tourists
Poland - 5,919 tourists
There are currently 1,217 tourist facilities in the Maldives, which include 168 resorts, 883 guesthouses, 153 safari vessels and 13 hotels. There are 59,930 tourism beds available altogether.
