SFD to assist in constructing 400 housing units in Hulhumale'

The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) will assist the Maldives government in constructing 400 housing units in Hulhumale'.

The Finance Ministry on Wednesday made an announcement seeking a party to design and supervise the project.

The consultancy work for the project, which will be carried out as an affordable housing scheme, includes preparing tender documents, an EIA report, a detailed design review, and supervision of the contractor's work. The selection process will follow the guidelines and procedures of the Saudi Fund for Development.

The ministry has asked interested parties to submit an expression of interest before April 26.

The government's Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation is also currently constructing 4,000 housing units in Hulhumale by contracting the work to two Indian companies.
