The foundation has been laid for the 'One Central Park' Residence flats being built by Mauritius' Sandal Mauritius Pvt. Ltd. The foundation was laid at a special ceremony held in reclaimed suburbs Hulhumale' on Monday veneing.
The development of 120 housing units in Hulhumale' was awarded to Sandal Mauritius, and local company RCC was hired as the company’s contractor for the project MVR 203 million. Each of the flats will have three bedrooms with attached toilets, and the building will have its own security services, gym facilities as well as children's play areas.
The foundation of the building was laid by Housing Minister Mohamed Aslam, Minister of State for Housing Akram Kamaluddin, Housing Development Corporation's Managing Director Suhail Ahmed and Assotech Realty Pvt. Ltd Managing Director Neeraj Gulati.
RCC's Managing Director and Dhangethi MP Mohamed Nazim said the flats will reach completion and will be ready for occupancy sometime next year. The price of each flat is MVR 2.2 million, and payments can be made under installment plans.
Special guest of the ceremony, Housing Minister Mohamed Aslam said he is delighted that Sandal Mauritius chose a local company as its contractor. Noting that RCC is a very capable company, Aslam expressed his confidence that the contractor would complete their part of the project in a timely manner.
