Tourist arrival number crosses 400,000

The number of tourists that have visited the Maldives thus far this year has crossed 400,000. The Tourism Ministry said 417,070 tourists visited the country as of March 11.

According to the statistics, 172,499 tourists visited the country in January and 177,914 in February. While 66,657 tourists visited the Maldives as of two days ago, this is an increase of 25.6 percent over the same period last year.

According to statistics, an average of 6,060 tourists visit the Maldives daily.
