The number of tourists arriving in the Maldives so far this year has reached nearly 600,000.
According to the Tourism Ministry, 592,605 tourists arrived in the Maldives as of the 12th of this month. This is a 20 percent increase over the 493,878 tourists that visited the Maldives during the same period last year.
Statistics show that 172,499 tourists visited the Maldives in January. 177,915 tourists visited in February, while 173,514 tourists arrived in March. More than 62,000 tourists have arrived in the Maldives thus far this month.
