Almost a hundred child abuse cases reported in March

Child abuse cases were the highest number of cases reported to the Gender Ministry in March, according to statistics.

According to the Gender Ministry, 206 cases were reported to the ministry in March. Of these, 98 cases are related to various types of child abuse. Twenty-nine of the abuse cases were identified as negligence cases.

Additional cases filed in March included 28 cases of physical abuse, 14 cases of children witnessing an act of domestic violence, 13 cases of sexual assault, nine cases of domestic violence, three cases of bullying, and one case of blackmail.

Eighteen family cases involving children were also reported in March.

Last month, three children were brought into state custody, bringing the total number of children in state care to 186.
