The Adhaalath Party has appointed its Deputy President, Mohamed Iaad Hameed, as the campaign manager for the upcoming presidential election.
Adhaalath Party is part of the current ruling coalition led by MDP. The party has decided its continue its alliance with MDP for the upcoming election to re-elect President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih for a second term.
Adhaalath Party said the party's Deputy President and State Minister at the Economic Affairs Ministry, Iaad, would be incharge of all election-related affairs. He was appointed to the post after discussion in the party's Advisory Council.
The party has also formed a steering committee of 13 members to lead the party in the presidential election.
The presidential election will be held on September 9 this year.
