A boat traveling from Male' to R. Rasgetheemu caught on fire and burnt down on Friday.
According to MNDF, their Coast Guard Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRC) received reports of an engine room fire on the boat named "Horizia 2" at 7:16 pm. At the time, the vessel was 3.04 nautical miles off Four Seasons Resort (Landaagiraavaru) in B. atoll.
The ten individuals aboard the vessel at the time were rescued by a Four Seasons speedboat. MNDF confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
