Forty-five trees planted to replace those removed for Ameenee Magu construction

Forty-five new trees have been planted along Ameenee Magu thus far to replace those removed during the reconstruction process of the road.

The Road Development Corporation (RDC)'s Managing Director Moosa Ali Manik (Mookey) said that 45 trees had been planted to replace the large trees removed for the development of Ameenee Magu. The trees that were removed for the road development were replanted in the picnic island, Kudagiri.

The first segment of Ameenee Magu, extending from the bridge area to the STELCO building, was tarred by MTCC and opened in March. The remaining segments are currently being completed by RDC.
