Urbanco announced today that the keys to the Vinares flats, constructed in Hulhumale' Phase II under the government's housing policy, will be handed over to the recipients before the end of this month.
The Vinares flats will be allocated to individuals who have purchased flats in Gulhifalhu and Sealife, as well as those who have relinquished Hiyaa flats and public applicants. A total of 1,094 people were selected from the category of individuals registered in Male' City but had been residing there for over 15 years. Additionally, 267 applicants who have been registered as Male' residents for over 15 years will also receive flats. Urbanco has already commenced the process of signing agreements with the flat recipients.
The construction of the Vinares flats commenced during the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Qayyoom. The project comprises ten 13-story towers, housing a total of 1,344 three-room apartments. These apartments range in size from 883 to 902 square feet and will be sold at prices between MVR 2.5 million and MVR 2.7 million. The cost of the apartments will nearly double for those opting for installment payments.
