PPM-PNC discusses gov't formation with The Democrats

The Chairperson of the Peoples' National Congress (PNC) and the Director-General of Transition, Abdul Raheem Abdulla, has said The Democrats shared informative tips on forming a good and strong government at a meeting held between the PPM-PNC's leaders and The Democrats.

The Democrats met with the senior leaders of the PPM-PNC coalition on Monday at the Office of the President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

Abdul Raheem Abdulla disclosed that The Democrats, with their experience in running a government, shared valuable information and insights on establishing a strong government focused on national unity. The meeting mainly focused on justice and forming a government dedicated to serving the people equitably.

“The meeting mainly discussed the establishment of justice and the formation of a government that will serve the people equally,” he said.

The Democrats do not have any agreement to form a government with the PPM-PNC coalition. However, its leaders claim that the party will participate in the incoming Muizzu government. While The President-elect has said his government would be a unified government of intellectually capable individuals, no information regarding government appointments has been shared thus far.
