Maldives achieves full school coverage with launch of Rakeedhoo Satellite School

The satellite school in V. Rakeedhoo has officially commenced operations with three students.

According to the Education Ministry, this development marks a significant milestone, as all inhabited islands in the Maldives now have active schools.

The Education Ministry has set up satellite schools in six islands across Maldives. They are Rakeedhoo, B. Fehendhoo, B. Fulhadhoo, V. Thinadhoo, ADh. Dhidhdhoo, and Ga. Kondey. Satellite schools are set up in islands lacking the requisite student population for conventional schools.

The ministry said These satellite schools differ significantly from online classes, offering lessons through various mediums such as videos, webinars, and live streaming, using advanced techniques and tools to engage students.
