The current average number of tourists visiting the Maldives stands at 5,035, according to statistics.
The Tourism Ministry said 1.48 million tourists have visited the country so far this year, including 120,833 from October 1 to October 25. The number of tourists visiting Maldives thus far this month increased by 3.2 percent over the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the number of tourists visiting the Maldives so far this year increased by 13.3 percent over the same period last year. A total of 174,140 more tourists have arrived in the Maldives so far this year compared to the same period last year.
