The Ministry of Social and Family Development and the Maldives National University (MNU) are set to launch specialized courses aimed at training social workers and counselors.
The Social and Family Development Ministry said the initiative aims to provide education and training opportunities for those passionate about social work and counseling. The courses are designed for both ministry employees currently engaged in these fields and individuals seeking training in these fields. The courses will be conducted in two rounds, commencing in February and August.
The first round of the courses, scheduled to start in February, is open for 100 participants. The courses in the first round include advanced certificate and bachelor's degree courses in social service and bachelor's degree courses in counseling. The Social and Family Development Ministry has 19 centers providing services to children and families.
