Maldivian nationals travelling to Mongolia have been exempted from visa.
The exemption came into effect on Monday. The visa exemption will allow Maldivians holding valid Diplomatic, Official, and Ordinary passports to enter and stay in Mongolia for a maximum period of thirty (30) days from the day of their entry.
According to the Foreign Ministry, in accordance with the visa exemption agreement signed between the two countries on 17 August 2023, Maldivians intending to stay for a longer period or to work, or attend an educational institution, or conduct business in Mongolia will need to obtain an appropriate visa prior to travel.
