The Tajikistan government will be issuing on-arrival visas to Maldivians traveling to the country.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the arrangement will come into effect next year. Maldives Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid thanked his Tajikistani counterpart, Sirajuddin Muhriddin for the arrangement, noting that the decision would further boost cultural and civilizational links between the two countries.
Since 2018 Maldivian travelers have received on-arrival vias from Russia, Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates. India, Sri Lanka, and Saudi Arabia also grant ease for Maldivian travelers. Maldivians can now travel to some European countries on Schengen visas.
