Maldives sees 11 percent increase in tourist arrivals during first three weeks

The Maldives welcomed a total of 128,548 tourists during the first three weeks of this year.

According to the statistics released by the Tourism Ministry, the number of tourists visiting the country so far this year increased by 11.6 percent over the same period last year. A total of 115,187 tourists visited the Maldives during the same period last year.

According to the Tourism Ministry, the daily average of tourist arrivals is 6,121, with visitors spending an average of eight days in the Maldives.

There are currently 176 resorts, 809 guesthouses, 140 safaris, and 15 hotels in the Maldives.
