Bar Council President Ismail Wisham has passed away.
Wisham, 39, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday night. According to reports, he was found dead in his residence.
Wisham, who was also a former assistant attorney general, was the second-term president of the Bar Council formed under the Legal Profession Act. He was elected to the position on June 11, 2022, after a vote among lawyers.
Wisham was one of the most experienced lawyers in the country and advocated in major cases.
