Regional Airports Company takes charge of L. Kadhdhoo Airport operations

The operation of Laamu Kadhdhoo Airport has been officially passed to Regional Airports Company Limited.

Regional Airports said the company took over the operation of the airport on April 16 as a 100 percent shareholder.

Kadhdhoo Airport is one of the first domestic airports opened in the Maldives.

In alignment with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's presidential pledges, an agreement was signed with China's CMCE company on April 11 to upgrade Kadhdhoo Airport to international standards. With the inclusion of Kadhdhoo Airport under the Regional Airports, the number of airports operated by the company has now reached eight.
