Parliament sitting cancelled due to lack of quorum

Wednesday's scheduled parliamentary sitting has been canceled due to a lack of quorum.

Speaker Mohamed Aslam said despite efforts to convene the session, the required quorum was not met. He set a deadline of 10 am to reach the quorum and commence the sitting. However, the quorum was not attained by the deadline.

"We have still not achieved the quorum to start today's sitting. I have been told some honorable members are waiting outside," stated Speaker Aslam.

At 10 am, Aslam concluded the session. He did not disclose the exact number of members present at the time of adjournment.
