Abdullah Muaz has been elected as the Chairperson of the Maldives Film Association (MFA).
Muaz was elected to the post as he was the sole candidate to apply for the post when vacancy application opened up last April.
Muaz previously served as FMA's Vice Chairperson from 2015 to 2016. He has also served as Senior Executive Director of the National Center for the Arts (NCA).
Speaking to "Mihaaru News" following his election, Muaz said he wished to bring about positive transformations within the film industry.
