Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer departed for Qatar on an official visit on Saturday night.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Minister Zameer's agenda includes discussions on enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors between the two nations. He will be attending high-level talks with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, who also serves as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar.
Minister Zameer is accompanied by the Maldives' Ambassador to China and former Governor Fazeel Najeeb, Bilateral Secretary Dr. Hala Hameed, and Foreign Ministry's Assistant Director Lamha Saleem.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Maldives' establishment of political relations with Qatar.
