The captain of a speedboat that fatally hit a Bangladeshi national fishing off ADh. Dhangethi has been arrested and remanded in custody.
The accident occurred on Saturday when the speed boat hit a man fishing for grouper in the water. Police received a report of the incident at 7.55 am. According to sources, the man was sliced in two and died on impact.
The captain of the boat, a Maldivian man, was eventually arrested. On Saturday, the court remanded him in custody for 15 days.
