Higher Education Minister Dr. Mariyam Mariya has traveled to Türkiye on an official visit.
Minister Mariya is accompanied by Deputy Minister Aiminath Shashi.
The Higher Education Ministry stated that the visit was at the invitation of Türkiye. During her visit, Minister Mariya will tour several Turkish universities and meet with senior officials. So far, the minister has visited OSTIM Technical University and met with its Chairman, Orhan Aydin, to discuss educational opportunities for the Maldives.
Minister Mariya's itinerary also includes meetings with officials from KOSGEB under Türkiye's Industry and Technology Ministry, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Council of Higher Education, and Ankara University.
