The Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA) has processed 6,830 of the 10,000 applications submitted for program and qualification validations.
MQA said the audits aim to uphold high standards in Maldivian higher education and training programs by ensuring they meet quality requirements. In this regard, the authority is inspecting higher education and training institutions, and determining the quality of courses and programs offered by the institutions. The authority will also ensure that the programs are conducted in accordance with laws and regulations.
MQA said the government's policy is to provide higher education opportunities across Maldives and build the human resources capacity in various fields. The authority conducts program audits and recognition validations in alignment with this policy.
Every year, many Maldivians graduate from higher education courses and enter the job market.
