WAMCO reverses decision to integrate fees into utility bills

WAMCO has reversed its decision to include garbage collection fees in electricity bills in the atolls.

WAMCO has previously decided to integrate waste collection fees into utility bills effective from January 1. However, the corporation Saturday said the decision was reversed following the recommendation of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

With this change, WAMCO services will only be provided to the household that have registered for the service. Payments for the services can be made through the WAMCO offices in the islands as well as via Avas Pay.
