- Centro Mall to open in July
The Housing Development Corporation has signed agreements with the winners of the Hulhumal'e Centro Mall bid. The mini mall is set to open with a number of shops.
The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has signed agreements with 17 different bid winners last night. Information about the bid winners had been released a while back by the HDC, however the winners had only signed the agreements with HDC officially last night. Managing Director Ahmed Simon signed the agreements on behalf of HDC.
The Hulhumale Centro Mall is set to open in July. Speaking at the ceremony last night, managing director Simon said that all bid winners had signed the agreement and the mini mall units had been handed over to them. He said that the owners of these units would go about with preparations of opening or establishing their businesses, which would race up the overall work needed to finish the Hulhumale Centro Mall. He added that after the signing, the mall would open in about two months time.
The mini mall which consists of three stories is set to open this july. An islamic bank branch has already been opened on the ground floor.
