Maldivian Idol broadcasted by PSM, has chosen the biggest insurance company in Maldives, Allied Insurance as the main sponsor for Maldivian Idol season 2. Allied Insurance was the main sponsor for season one of Maldivian Idol as well.
Maldivian Idol is the first franchised show that has been aired in Maldives. As a result, the show has received a lot of praise and criticism from the society. It has been decided that Maldivian Idol season two will start at the end of this year, and will be broadcasted to the public next year January.
The signing ceremony held at PSM today was attended by dignitaries from both PSM and Allied Insurance. Managing Director of Allied Insurance Ahmed Ameel signed the sponsorship agreement today on behalf of the insurance company. Managing Director Ibrahim Khaleel signed the sponsorship agreement on behalf of PSM.
Speaking at the signing ceremony today, Khaleel said that companies were reluctant to give sponsors as many doubted that PSM could successfully broadcast the Idol show. Khaleel expressed his profound thanks to Allied Insurance as they had offered to be the main sponsor of Maldivian Idol, and had stated that the signing was a symbol of trust and confidence that the company had in PSM and the show itself.
