Egypt Air flight goes missing above the Mediterranean

Egyptian officials have revealed that Egypt Air, flight 804 has gone of the radar.

The flight was reported missing while it was en route to Cairo from the French capital Paris. The airline has said that the flight took off from France’s Charles de Gaulle airport, late on wednesday night. Reports show that the flight went missing while it was flying over the Mediterranean.

Airline officials have revealed that there were a total of 66 people on board the plane. The flight was carrying 56 passengers and 10 crew members. Furthermore, records show that one child and two babies were on board the flight. Revealing more information about the missing plane, the airline said that the flight had not given any distress signal or call before it went of the radar. The airline revealed that there were people of 12 different nationalities on board the flight.

The airline revealed that the flight was an airbus A320, but has said that they could not reveal anymore information regarding this. The airline has tweeted that they could not make any comment on this at the moment, but they would be releasing a statement regarding the missing flight very soon.

Egypt's Civil Aviation Authority has revealed that the flight may have crashed into the Mediterranean. They have however, refrained from releasing anymore information about the missing flight.
Reports from Egypt suggest that the focus of the search and rescue efforts are on the Mediterranean. Reports also show that Greece might be assisting in the search for the missing plane.

Many fear that a terrorist group is behind the case of the missing flight. Egypt Air has hosted the passengers' families near to Cairo Airport and has provided doctors, translators and all the necessary services.
