Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has appealed customers and visitors to use the gates west of the hospital to enter as the elevated water levels in front of the hospital main gates still had not been drained.
Following the rains, the Hospital had closed off the main gates.
Speaking to Avas, IGMH Media Official Zeenath Habeeb said the water at the main gate had drained a bit but there were some issues in using the area. She said the general public can use entrance on Boduthakurufaanu Magu, west of the Hospital. She added that the emergency gate was opened to facilitate easier access for patients to the hospital.
"Emergency gate was opened as an in-case option. We request the public to use the western gates, there is no water there. It will be easier," she said.
Ameenee Magu and IGMH road have been the most impacted by the heavy rains in Male'.
