New Radiant Sports club has suspended defender Rilwan Waheed for an unspecified amount of time according to a statement that the club released.
The club stated that Rilwan was suspended because he was not attending practices, and because he has allegedly been encouraging other players to not attend as well. The club also said that Rilwan had posted contents that defamed the club, and that Rilwan had made further comments which had dragged the club's name through the mud.
Rilwan was suspended after a number of players had stopped going to club practices because the club had not given the players their salary. New Radiant however, has not confirmed that Rilwan played any hand in convincing most of the players to not attend practices.
Rilwan Waheed joined New Radiant Sports Club three years ago. However he has been excluded from the national team squad because of multiple disciplinary issues.
