Fulidhoo preparing for World Environment Day

V.Fulidhoo council has announced that the island is in preparation to celebrate World Environment Day

Fulidhoo council has said that they had rid the island of trash and waste as a starter for the preparations of Environment Day. The council said that waste and trash are usually removed from the island every six months. However, they had cleared the island yesterday for the preparations of Environment Day.

The council has also stated that a number of other activities have been planned for Environment Day celebrations. The council has started a project to clean the reef and maintain the roadside trees in time for the celebrations. They have also reportedly set up special meetings to organise preparation plans.
