Alhan Fahmy has announced that he will run for Male' City Council member in the next Local Council Elections. The former Feydhoo Constituency MP Alhan had previously announced that he intended to run for the Presidency in 2018 as well.
A tweet posted by the former Parliamentarian had announced that he intended to run for Male' City Mayor.
Though he had announced this, he has to first run for City Council Member. The mayoral position is chosen among the 11 Council members. Alhan had contested in 2014 MDP General Elections as an independent candidate and had lost. Following this MDP had banned Alhan from contesting in internal elections for one year six months.
