Housing Ministry has passed to route the sewage pipes near Rasfannu to the industrial village.
The decision comes after some of the sewage pipes near the area had burst, with sewage leaking to the swimming area. This incident had led many to criticize the Ministry.
A Housing Ministry official said the project to reroute the sewage pipes will be handed over to a contractor soon.
"The pipes then will not be near Rasfannu. They will be routed to the industrial village, now under development. The Ministry [Housing Ministry] will hand over the routing to a contractor," the official said.
