Newly appointed Home Minister Ahmed Zuhoor says he will give the highest priority to correct misconceptions of Police.
In the first meeting held with senior officials of the Service, Minister Zuhoor said that he will give high priority to developing the service and correct the misconceptions over the service. However, he said at an operational level all decisions will be taken by Commissioner of Police on the advice of the executive board.
Addressing all the senior members of the service, Minister Zuhoor appealed to all to serve sincerely and to the best of their abilities. He also appealed to the members of the Executive Board to lend all assistance required to ensure that officers fulfilled their mandates.
In the meeting, Commissioner of Police Ahmed Areef had briefed the Minister on the work carried out in the Service and the challenges faced by the Service.
