Police has summoned Hithahdhoo South Constituency MP Ali Nizar regarding a case being reviewed by the Police. He has been ordered to submit himself to Police headquarters at 2130 hrs tomorrow,
The Police summons issued today said that the MP was summoned to Police regarding a case currently being reviewed by the Police and will have to give a statement as well.
Kendhoo Constituency MP Ali Hussain had also been recently summoned to Police to take his statement regarding a tweet posted, in which he said that a person can defend himself if approach illegally by the Police.
Shidhaathaa Shareef, Ahmed Thasmeen Ali and Hassan Latheef, three members of the Maldives United Opposition (MUO) Shadow Cabinet, had also been recently summoned to the Police. They were summoned to the Police regarding the opposition’s detainee fund.
